Meet S&G: eco-friendly eucalyptus bedding that’s softer and more breathable than cotton, with up to 96% less water used.

Fun fact: S&G is the most popular crowdfunded Indiegogo ever for bed sheets! With over 5,000 preorders since May, you’ll be in good company. And probably good-looking company, too.

We completely *sold out* of our November inventory (what the sheet?!), so order now on to reserve a set from our limited-quantity Dec. shipment at 15% off.

Founder – CEO

Are there any limitations to working with eucalyptus? Can you sublimate color prints?
  • Eucalyptus isn’t great for large, unique prints, but it’s great for pattern prints.
How do you protect your intellectual property?
  • Our main IP is our trademarks and URLs, and I love it that way. I specifically wanted a company that didn’t have to worry about IP issues, as IP is generally just used to sue or be sued. We can focus on being competitive in the business without worrying about suits or patent trolls (at least, not as much as the average tech startup).
What KPIs are important to your businesses health right now?
  • Conversion rate, cost per acquisition, normal stuff like that. Something I’m tracking closely is average cart value and return customer rate – 38% of Americans buy new sheets every year, so we really want to have a high repeat purchase rate to push LTVs into the thousands of dollars. I’m also obsessed with making sure our reviews stay at 4 and 5 stars… if we stay at 5 stars as we have thousands of people opening their orders, we’re going to be in a strong spot.
Book recommendation:
  • I can’t remember the last book I read. God that’s embarrassing.
Favorite philosopher:
  • John Locke (that’s probably a popular answer for you).
Favorite quote:
  • “It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” – Upton Sinclair
A CEO you follow:
Favorite documentary:
Favorite artwork:
  • Michalangelo’s The Last Judgment in the Sistine Chapel. I’m not particularly religious anymore, but it stays with you.
Favorite music:
  • I listen to EDM more than I’d like to admit.
What would your last meal be?
  • Lobster and stone crabs.
What is the meaning of life?
  • To enjoy your short span of self-awareness as much as you can before you blip out of existence.
What is your situation? (married, single, kids…)
  • Newly single (from a relationship, not a marriage).
What advice would you give your 20 y/o self?
  • For the love of God, take a computer science course.
What do you have left to do?
  • See much more of the world, find the person I want to start a family with, start a family, make my first million, and storm the last standing Bed Bath & Beyond in a Helms-Deep style raid… I’m thinking sometime in 2021?
